MUMBAI: Aegis Group, home to media networks Carat and Vizeum, has acquired a Belgian based search marketing agency Extenseo from Belgacom Skynet for an undisclosed sum.

According to a report filed by mad.co.uk, Extenseo has gross assets of €1.4 million.

Aegis chief executive Robert Lerwill said to the portal, "This acquisition adds world-class search to our offering in Belgium and is another step towards building the leading global search network within Isobar."

Extenso has expertise in both search engine optimisation and search engine advertising.

Founded in 1988, its clientele includes companies like GE Money and Mercedes Benz.

Earlier this month Aegis acquired South African shop Full Circle Media. In September, Aegis launched Vizeum South Africa, which bolster the groups presence in the country to include MEC Carat, Vizeum and Full Circle Media, digital shop and out-of-home agency Rapid, stated the report.
