MUMBAI: SMRT Media, part of SMRT Investments Pte Ltd Singapore, has launched Tunnel TV, a new media space that will allow commuters to view advertisements on the go.

Tunnel TV comprises a series of 360 LED panels mounted on walls in the tunnels for screen advertisements in its island-wide network of 65 SMRT stations with around 100 SMRT trains.

The LED panels synchronised to train speeds will create digital image advertising during a train ride.

SMRT Investments deputy director media Jeslyn Tan said, "This media form will add an interesting dimension for advertisers to reach out to this highly targeted audience of commuters on a train ride."

SMRT Media has signed up Standard Chartered Bank, The Republic of Singapore Navy and M&M's Chocolate to use this medium for exposure and marketing.
