MUMBAI: In a first ever initiative, on 26 December 2007, which is known as Boxing Day the world over, online shopping store Indiaplaza.in is holding an eight-hour long online sale whereby people can log on and buy their Christmas gifts at fabulous discounts.

This is a pioneering step in which, without having to bother about queuing at the stores, customers can avail of that special one-day exclusive offer where prices are marked even lower.

On 26 December, Indiaplaza.in will be starting the sale at 10 am, and it will continue till 6 o'clock in the evening. During this time, customers logging in the site can avail fantastic offers on books, iPods, mobiles, digital cameras, etc.

While online sites have caught on the fancy of the buying junta, there are no Indian retail sites that have ever conducted a time-bound sale on their website, except auctioning houses. This not only marks a change in consumers' buying patterns, it also reflects how online marketing strategy is changing.

During the day, a whooping discount of 80 per cent will be offered on selected range of books, up to 30 per cent discount on iPods and mobiles, and a 45 per cent discount on digital cameras.

Besides, the general Christmas sale is also on. Share the joy of Christmas with some exciting Christmas hampers, with a mix of products from chocolate cakes to Christmas décor. Customers can log in Indiaplaza.in for more discounts on gifting items.
