MUMBAI: INX Media's general entertainment channel (GEC) 9X has roped in Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) for a three-year advertising deal.

HUL falls under the Club INX Platinum category, joining premium members Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL), Future Group and Vodafone.

The Club INX Platinum members get supplementary advantages across the channels in terms of committed number of secondages, rate protection, privileged pricing, preferential scheduling, priority check-in, co-branded contests and a relationship manager dedicated to the account in a three-year contract.

Says INX Media group director revenue management (advertising sales and new media) Probal Gaanguly, "We are really pleased to announce that Hindustan Lever Ltd., the biggest and one of the most demanding clients in India, have inked a long term commitment with us. This remarkable long term deal not only reconfirms that we are on the right track of understanding our partners and giving them the best innovative solutions, but it also gives us the confidence that we have the right approach for our Sales Mission."

Adds HUL general manager media services Rahul Welde, "We are very excited at the opportunity that 9X presents in the Hindi general entertainment space. Their plan and the package looks impressive, and we look forward to a strong association with the INX Network in years to come."

The Club INX Partner also offers two other categories of brand advertisers - Gold and Silver. Gold brand advertisers will be on board for two years, while silver advertisers will have a one-year deal.

INX Media has recently announced the rate card for its two channels 9X and 9XM. Among other things it offers best buy packages valid till 31 December, depending on how much clients are willing to spend. The packages are for Rs 900,000, Rs 2.7 million and Rs 5.4 million.

It is, however, inviting just 20 clients on a first come first serve basis. For the Rs 5.4 million package, it is offering 900 spots on the two channels to two clients.
