Nike elevates two senior executives to handle EMEA & US apparel biz

MUMBAI: Nike has promoted Mary Kate Buckley and Jill Stanton to the positions of vice president for the apparel section of two different regions - Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), and US, respectively.

In their new roles they will be handling two of Nike's largest regional apparel businesses, representing approximately 76 per cent of the almost $4.6 billion in global apparel revenues, informs an official release.

Buckley will report to Nike EMEA VP and GM Eunan McLaughlin and Nike VP global apparel Roger Wyett.

To handle the US apparel business, Stanton will report to Nike US VP and GM Craig Cheek and to Wyett.

Stanton previously led apparel in Nike's EMEA region since 2004. She has also held a variety of apparel leadership positions, including GM of Asia Pacific Apparel.

"Mary Kate and Jill are seasoned Nike executives with proven ability to consistently grow our business and connect with Nike consumers in diverse markets and regions.Their experience in these new roles will be invaluable as we continue to drive growth and brand leadership in apparel worldwide," said Wyett.

In the Americas region, the company expects to name a new regional general manager soon. In the interim, regional functional management as well as country general managers will report directly to Nike global operations president Gary DeStefano.
