MUMBAI: Reliance Communications, the official global partner for the first edition of ICC Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa, has announced a slew of services on their mobile platform aimed at generating interest in the championships.

Reliance brand ambassador and the Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni will promote a special offer that will run during the tournament.

Reliance Communications head, branding and marketing Sanjay Behl said, "Indian cricket team captain for the tournament Mahendra Singh Dhoni is also the brand ambassador of Reliance. With the World Cup in mind, we are launching Dhoni-Dhanadan pack that will excite cricket lovers across the country."

Reliance Mobile users that subscribe to the Dhoni pack will be able get score updates after every over, wicket alerts, live streaming videos, videos of match highlights, wallpapers and can even participate in a contest using their handsets. The Dhoni pack is priced at Rs 49 and Rs 79, states an official release.

For new mobile subscribers, Reliance has aunched a scheme where-in a customer can win a full expense paid trip to watch Twenty20 world cup finals in South Africa by getting a first recharge of atleast Rs.300.

"Our association with the game goes a long way with Reliance World Cup in 1987 and we are proud to be associated with the new format of the game that ensures quality entertainment," he added.

Amongst other customized offerings is the "full talktime 2020 recharge voucher". This prepaid product allows users to have 100 per cent talktime value for Rs 2020 and has a validity of 12 months and incoming validity of 20 months.
