MUMBAI: Showdiff Worldwide (Mumbai) has appointed Alok Rakshit as chief operating officer to spearhead its operations and overall business growth.

Prior to joining Showdiff, Rakshit was director of Big Bang Media (the exclusive ad sales concessionaire and content provider for sify.com), states an official release.

Showdiff Worldwide CEO Conrad Saldanha says, "Alok has been working in the media space for more than a decade. With his rich and varied experience, he will provide the added impetus to our young and dynamic team across the country."

Rakshit has more than 12 years of media experience and has previously worked with BCCL (Times Of India), Channel 4 Network (UAE), TV Today Network and the Zee Group (ETC & Zee Music).

Showdiff Worldwide was formed in 2003 as a joint venture between cricketing legend Ravi Shastri and Rediffusion | DYR, led by Diwan Arun Nanda. The agency offers services in the domain of celebrity management, event conceptualization and managemsent, content syndication, sports marketing, sponsorship and right.

Showdiff Worldwide also entered into a strategic partnership in the field of sports marketing for the Indian sub-continent with Havas Sports, the sports marketing arm of the global Havas Group.
