MUMBAI:Timex Watches Ltd. has launched the Racing Chronograph Collection of watches inspired by motor racing.

The new collection was unveiled by Timex brand ambassador and Aussie cricketer Brett Lee, in the presence of the company's MD and SVP Asia Kapil Kapoor. Mandira Bedi hosted the event.

The new Racing Chronograph Collection reasserts the brand's sporty, techie and fashionable imagery. This collection draws inspiration and influences from formula - one racing, grand prix cars, bikes and drivers and vividly captures the essence of the sport through the use of material, colour and detailing.

Kapoor said, " The Racing Chronograph Collection skillfully combines sports-inspired looks with performance and technology to create a contemporary range of watches that am sure will appeal to anyone with a flair for speed and precision."

The Racing Chronograph watches feature iconic leather driving straps. The cut out circles sport colours like black, classic tan, racing green and traditional red. The dial design has also been enhanced to reflect the racing influence, with the subtle inclusion of colour details and an enhanced minute tracker on the reflector ring.

The new collection has a Tachymeter feature that helps measure speed over a predefined distance. The collection also has a built-in Indiglo night-light feature and all the models are water resistant from 50 to 100 meters.

Available in leather strap and bracelet options, the new collection has a range of 14 men's styles that are priced between Rs 3000 to Rs 6000.
