PDM India launches PDM-Entertainment; Aman Anand to head

MUMBAI: PDM India has announced the launch of yet another division called PDM-Entertainment, which will be headed by Aman Anand.

According to an official announcement, the unit will focus on building new properties in the arenas of entertainment including cinema, theatre, music, live events, while supporting the brand activation team.

Percept Holdings joint managing director Shailendra Singh said, "PDM has created many a successful properties in the past. This move will bring a focused and concentrated approach to the ideas and concepts generated by PDM, while catering to the entertainment related events domain."

PDM-Entertainment expertise entails a combination of TV production and direction, new technology ideation, musicals and broadways, International concerts and design of entertainment based properties specific to a brand, informs the release.

PDM India COO Devraj Sanyal said, "The idea is to have a dedicated team in this arena to build a sustainable model in the entertainment domain. A specialist team which has immense experience in this field will ensure that they create and provide professional support and service to the clients who will form a part of the PDM initiatives."

The PDM-Entertainment team will revamp and recreate some of the older properties in a larger format with ground extensions / accessories.

Anand has had the experience of working on a spectrum of events under the banner of music, live concerts, cinema and large TV properties including the Channel [v] Music Awards, Coke [v] Live Concert, Femina Miss India, MTV Music Forum, Brand Equity Quiz, MTV Aids Awareness Concert among others.

He has also been instrumental in producing events and properties for PDM, right from the Formula One power boat racing, a musical at The Royal Albert Hall - London, to 'Nokia New Year's Eve' celebration with five events in five party capitals of the world.
