Bangalore: Acer India, a Multinational PC brand has announced a tie up with Tata Sky in India. The tie-up will see Acer bundling the Tata Sky TV Satellite connection hardware, which includes the set top box and the antenna free of cost, with the purchase of select models of Acer desktop and notebook PCs

The offer is valid till 31 December 2006.

The association is a first of its kind in the PC industry and gives consumers a chance to experience and access unlimited digital entertainment with the purchase of PCs, thus giving further impetus to the drive towards a digital home.

Acer India general manager sales and marketing, mobility and display products group, S Rajendran said, "We have introduced this offer to our customers to further aid their quest for digital entertainment. This offer, I am sure, will cut through the clutter of festive season offers by offering the consumer a unique combination of free digital entertainment infrastructure combined with the benefits of computerisation and mobility that the consumer derives from the purchase of a PC.

"We are confident of this offer appealing to customers looking for complete home entertainment. It is our hope that by focussing our energies on meeting the needs of the new digital world, Acer will further consolidate its position in the home PC market."

As part of Acer's ongoing efforts to increase customer satisfaction and accessibility to new trends and technology, Acer will employ its retail network of 250 outlets and 3,000 plus registered resellers.
