MUMBAI: Initiative president Kartik Iyer has put in his papers and will soon be joining join Active International, an international corporate trading firm with a specialised media practice. Currently, he is serving a notice period that will end on 10 November.

Filling his position is Intellect senior vice president Premjeet Sodhi, with effect from 1 November 2006. As head of Initiative, Sodhi will relocate to Delhi.

Speaking on the developments Lintas Media Group director Lynn De Souza said, "Kartik has been a friend and guide to many of us. We will miss him but as always, we wish him well. No doubt we will continue to meet him often even in his new role."

"Premjeet is excited about his new assignment. He joined Lintas Media Group four years ago to start up our research and technologues unit, Intellect. Intellect has grown considerably in delivery and market stature under Premjeet, developing proprietary tools and databases for the group and handling international projects. We have been grooming him to take on a business unit responsibility for some time, and the opportunity has now presented itself. I am confident that he will make a significant contribution to the strategic planning product and to the quality of the team on his journey.

"Having been responsible for the training and recruitment of 30 new planners into LMG in the last two years as the convenor of the PGPAMM program of Northpoint, it is now time for him to turn some of them into stars," adds De Souza.

Premjeet's role at Intellect will be now looked after by Julius Augustine, in addition to his current responsibilities at Media Futures, overseen by Raj Gupta and Lynn De Souza.
