MUMBAI: Gund, renowned for its most huggable plush and Sesame Workshop, have announced a new licensing partnership involving the original animated series on Noggin, the commercial-free, educational network for preschoolers. This is the second collaboration between the two companies, the first involving the classic Sesame Street property.

“We are tickled pink to extend the reach of Pinky Dinky Doo through a partnership with Gund. We believe these cool new products will encourage children to "think big" and create their own imaginative stories, just like Pinky,” said Sesame Workshop vice president and general manager global consumer products Maura Regan.

Pinky Dinky Doo blossomed from a collection of playful bedtime stories authored by Cartoon Pizza president and co-founder Jim Jinkins, and was nurtured through a collaboration with Sesame Workshop. Pinky is a seven year-old girl with a great big imagination who creatively solves everyday problems through fantastical storytelling.

Joining Pinky on her adventures is her brother Tyler Dinky Doo, her pet guinea pig Mr. Guinea Pig, her best friends Nicholas Biscuit, Bobby Boom and Daffinee Toilette, and her parents Mommy Dinky Doo and Daddy Dinky Doo. The program broadcasts on the cable station Noggin in the US, and in over 25 territories worldwide.

“We are thrilled to continue our working relationship with Sesame Workshop. Like Gund, their brand is recognisable world-wide and associated with quality. Now through the innovations of Gund designers, Pinky Dinky Doo enthusiasts can use their own imaginations recreating the awesome adventures of Pinky and her friends right in their homes,” said Gund president Jim Madonna.

The new line of Gund Pinky Dinky Doo products will be introduced in January.
