Mobile entertainment symposium in the US to look at new marketing models

MUMBAI: An event Blowing Up Sound: Emerging Technology, Consumers and Choice - Crafting the New Marketing Model that focusses on the mobile sector will be held in the US in New York on 9 May.

In the US, the mobile entertainment scene is experiencing a boom. New platforms are giving consumers control with hi-tech choices and emerging technologies and creative business models are responding to what consumers want.

The symposium will present emerging technologies that will impact and challenge traditional marketing models, highlight creative, innovative and more targeted marketing opportunities for advertisers and address current accountability and ROI issues.

 

Representatives from emerging technologies share their views on mobile technologies. As new digital technologies roll out every day, the fight for turf between old and new is on. Also discussed will be whether competing mobile technologies result in clear winners and losers or will all find their niche within a new, interconnected media matrix. They panel includes Net Radio Sales president Jennifer Lane, Podbridge founder and CEO Murgesh Navar, Napster CTO Bill Pence.

Magna Global USA VP Brian Wieser will offer a global overview of the mobile video and advertising scenario.

 

Another panel will look at the marketing opportunities in emerging mobile entertainment. The trend in emerging technologies puts control squarely in the hands of the consumer. The panel talks of the the traditional advertising model and the new marketing models on the horizon that can fill the void.

The speakers include Interep Marketing Group president Debbie Durben, Audible.com marketing director John Federico and Zenith Media senior VP radio and director Interactive Broadcast Matthew Feinberg.
