The
company also announced the launch of three new Kaya products and
French Phyto Shampoos, which will be sold exclusively through Kaya
in India. The three new products are: Kaya Hair Health gel, Kaya
Anti-dandruff Shampoo and Kaya Nourishing Shampoo. All these products
will be available in India in KSC clinics only.
The Kaya HLPS treatment addresses common hair problems for men
and women. The basic three month package costs Rs 990, a price which
includes the products for that period. The package also includes
three consultations with a hair specialist and includes examination,
analysis of the problem, lifestyle and dietary recommendations.
KSC has seen a tremendous growth according to Pandey over the three
and half year period since they started. Their revenues have been
rising rapidly from Rs 50 million in the first year of operations
to Rs 200 million in the second year to Rs 700 million in the third.
Around 10 - 12 per cent of the revenues are spent on campaigns which
include radio jingles, outdoor hoardings and print media, besides
BTL activities such as workshops, etc.
The hair care solutions market taking the middle class and above
market into account is estimated by Pandey to be around Rs 500 million
in India. Pandey expects to capture around 20 per cent (Rs 100 million)
during the first year.
ANC communications handle the creative business, while Madison
handles the media.
