MUMBAI: Endemol International's consumer products division has been able to close a number of new product deals for the game show, Deal or No Deal.

Endemol, through its network of local offices with licensing agents and broadcaster partners, has confirmed traditional board-game deals in France (TF1 Games); Italy (Editrice Giochi); UK (Drummond Park); USA (Pressman Games); Australia (Crown & Andrews) and Mexico (Fotorama).

Additional electronic and hand-held games have been developed for the USA with I-Toys, who will distribute localised versions in a number of international markets.

The interactive DVD games category has also been targeted with a number of local partners including Imagination Games for the USA.

In addition to the traditional ‘games’ categories, other areas under discussion or agreed upon include retail lottery scratch-cards, role play books (Ebury Press – UK), apparel (Todays Trendz – USA), stationery, video game platforms and a wide range of interactive and mobile products.

Endemol head of consumer products Tim Collins said, "Deal or No Deal offers two main opportunities for us – games, be they versions played for fun or with actual cash rewards, and third party promotional tie-ins. We have seen a growing interest in Deal or No Deal from potential licensees, I’m sure as a result of the recent success of the UK and US formats, which builds upon the momentum of a show which is broadcast in over 40 markets worldwide."
