MUMBAI: The year has begun more than well for Maxus. Close on the heels of bagging the Nokia and Perfetti accounts earlier this year, the agency has now bagged the media duties for Tata Sky Ltd., the joint venture between the Tata Group and Star for DTH (direct to home) services.

The account size is estimated at over Rs 500 million. Maxus will handle TV, print, cinema, radio and other mass media buying for Tata Sky.

Tata Sky CEO Vikram Kaushik said, "We are pleased to appoint Maxus India as our media buying partner. Maxus won the account on the strength of its strategic approach and ability to deliver innovative media solutions. Maxus will partner us in our endeavor to redefine the television viewing experience in India."

Maxus CEO CVL Srinivas said, "We are delighted to be partnering this exciting brand and look forward to working closely with Tata Sky in creating a new category."

Tata Sky is investing in building a high quality digital infrastructure in the country to offer a superior television viewing experience to Indian households. The DTH service is expected to launch in mid-2006.
