Euro RSCG India promotes Suman Srivastava as CEO

MUMBAI: The Euro RSCG India president Suman Srivastava has been promoted as the new CEO, while the chairman and the out-going CEO Ishan Raina will continue to be involved with the company as chairman.

Suman Srivastava is one of the members of the original team that helped Ishan Raina start Euro RSCG. He has also been nominated to the Global Management Committee of Euro RSCG, according to an official release.

Srivastava is a graduate of Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University and IIM, Ahmedabad. He has been in advertising for 19 years. He started out in Lintas (now called Lowe) and shifted to Euro RSCG in 1996. During his stint in Lintas, he was deputed to Hindustan Lever for one year and spent the last two years helping to set up and run SSC&B Lintas.

According to the statement, before he became president, Srivastava was the chief strategy officer for Euro RSCG India and the Middle East and served on the Global Planning Council of Euro RSCG Worldwide. He has been closely involved with the development of Euro RSCG’s strategic planning tools including the research done on Prosumers in India, China and other emerging markets.

Euro RSCG Raina commented: “Suman’s experience and understanding of both Euro RSCG India & Euro RSCG Worldwide along with his keen strategic & advertising mind, makes him a logical successor & leader of Euro RSCG in the years to come.”

Euro RSCG Asia Pacific, India & Middle East CEO George Gallate said: “We are delighted that Suman is leading the Indian operations into the future. India & China, as emerging markets are key for Euro RSCG & its clients. We are also delighted that Ishan has built the second generation leadership in Euro RSCG India and will continue his association with Euro RSCG as chairman.”
