JWT wins gold in Press category, O&M silver, Leo Burnett bronze at Cannes Lions 2006

MUMBAI: The winners of the 2006 Cannes Lions Press category have been announced, among Indian agencies JWT, O&M and Leo Burnett have won laurels.

JWT walked away with a Gold Lion for Levi Strauss 'Slim Jeans' campaign in the clothing, footwear and accessories sub-category. O&M bagged a silver for The Indian Association for Promotion of Adoption and Child Welfare (IAPA) in the public awareness messages sub-category, towards spreading adoption awareness.

In addition, Leo Burnett secured a bronze for the Maneland Jungle Lodge in the travel, transport and tourism sub-category. The grand Prix winner in this category was FCB Johannesburg for their work on Lego in the entertainment and leisure sub-category.

Still awaited are the results of the Film and Titanium Lions categories, India can thus far boast of 12 awards won at Cannes this year.
