MUMBAI: After the announcements of the elevation of Ashutosh Srivastava and Vikram Sakhuja in the GroupM system, have come promotions at the next rungs in the media powerhouse.

The promotions of two key executives are on expected lines that Indiantelevision.com had already reported as being in the running - MindShare Fulcrum general manager R Gowthaman and MindShare Delhi general manager Sundar Raman.

Gowthaman takes on the responsibilities from Sakhuja, who is now GroupM CEO India and COO South Asia. Gowthaman has been elevated as managing director of MindShare for the Western and Southern regions of India and Sundar Raman as the managing director of MindShare for the Nothern and Eastern Regions. While Gowthaman will also be responsible for the Unilever business across South Asia, Sundar Raman will oversee Bangladesh and Sri Lanka operations as well.

Prior to moving as the MD of Mindshare, Gowthaman has been the Head of Fulcrum and has been responsible for it growth since 1999.

Speaking to indiantelevision.com on his new role Gowthaman said, "It is a challenging responsibility to be handling the Western and Southern regions of India. I will be working alongside Sunder Raman to drive the brand forward."

Sundar Raman on the other hand has been leading the businesses of Mindshare in Delhi which is the key booming market for Mindshare.

GroupM also announced other promotions at the same time. Suku Murti who is currently responsible for running the Entertainment, Sports and Promotions unit of GroupM India moves to Singapore to run the same business across Asia Pacific. Hiren Pandit, general manager, MindShare moves into Suku's position as national director, Entertainment, Sports and Promotions. Anita Kotwani moves into Hiren's position as general manager, MindShare.
