MUMBAI: Star topped all Asian broadcasters for the sixth consecutive year at the Promax & BDA Awards 2006 notching a total of 30 awards. These included 10 World Gold Awards, 18 World Silver and two World Bronze.

Channel [V] India bagged a total of 10 awards across all categories, whereas the tally for Star Gold stood at five. Star Plus claimed its fame with a World Silver Award for Kaun Banega Crorepati 2 (KBC2).

Awards included World Gold in Daypart Packaging Promotion (Star World), Marketing Presentation Campaign - Print (Star Chinese Movies), Interstitial / Promotainment – Movies (Star Gold), Directing (Channel [V] India), Art Direction and Design in Public Service Announcement (Channel [V] India) and Use of Original Music Composition for a Promo (Star Gold).
