BANGALORE: On the heels of the Delhi launch a couple of days ago, Maruti has unveiled the 'Bold and Dynamic' new look Wagon R and the 'Wagon R Duo' in Bangalore.

"Trifles make perfection, but perfection is no trifle!," said Maruti Marketing Strategy and Development CGM Arun Malhotra while revealing the new features that have been incorporated in the new offering. This avatar comes in tow main variants - the new look Wagon R with some tweaking and changes in the mechanics and looks with a standard petrol version, and the tweaked and changed vehicle with a dual fuel engine - a first for India claims Maruti. The Dual fuel version runs on LPG as well as petrol.

A new TVC was showcased to the press with a repetitive musical chant 'changing'. The TVC features a young male friend inviting a male photographer friend for a spin in his new look Wagon R. On espying three young things who want a lift, the host asks his friend to get off and one of the pretty girls sits in the front with him with two of the other girls getting in on the back. The dejected photographer is delighted when the two lasses at the back invite him into the rear seat to sit in between them, hence indicating the roominess of the car and the change from the earlier version which had a split rear seat.

Maruti MD & CEO Jagdish Khattar while speaking with indiantetevison.com on the side lines of the press conference said that the commercial would hit TVC's shortly across as channels and the budgets would be adequate. Khattar also revealed that the campaign budgets for Maruti Swift had been curtailed from the planned amounts because the vehicle had been a huge success.
