MUMBAI: Aegis Group plc has acquired Bookmark in the Netherlands. The gross assets to be acquired were Euro 1.4 million as at 31 December 2005.

Bookmark was founded in 1997 and is a specialist in digital marketing and transactional services, including eCRM, interactive media and customer loyalty. It has a full-service offering in these areas, encompassing consultancy, project management and web design and development.

The agency's current clients include leading domestic and international brands, such as Cadillac, Grolsch, Disney and ABN Amro bank.

Aegis Group plc CEO Robert Lerwill said, "Bookmark is a high quality business, with real leadership in its field. It will fit well into Aegis Media, and is consistent with Isobar's strategy of building services right across media, search, creative and transaction. As the digital marketing space becomes ever more sophisticated, Bookmark's offering will complement our very successful existing digital media business in the Netherlands."
