MUMBAI: It's churn time at the Sony Entertainment Television (SET) India stable. After Sony business head and executive vice president Tarun Katial's departure last month; comes the news that Max vice president marketing and communications Sanjay Ramakrishnan and Sab marketing head Ajay Modgil have also put in their papers at the company.

While a channel official confirmed Ramakrishnan's departure, no confirmation was forthcoming as far as Modgil was concerned. "Sanjay relocated from Bangalore to join Max and due to personal reasons has decided to move on," said the official.

Repeated attempts to contact SET India chief operating officer N P Singh and Sab senior vice president and business head Vikas Bhal proved futile.

Confirming his departure from Max, Ramakrishnan said, "Due to personal reasons, I have decided to go back to Bangalore."

Quizzed as to whether he was slated to join Yahoo! India as per the industry buzz, Ramakrishnan outrightly denied it. "There is no truth in this at all," he said.

Ramakrishnan joined Max as marketing head in December 2005 and was earlier Worldspace India head - marketing. He has also worked with Lycos Asia Internet Pvt. Ltd, Times of India Group, Spice Telecom, Satyam Infoway and SmithKline Beecham.

Modgil, on the other hand, joined Sab in July last year. Prior to his stint at Sab, he was Zoom business development, alliances and trade marketing head. Modgil has also worked with Bacardi as a brand manager.
