MUMBAI: HLL's Sunsilk Gang of Girls ended the year with an event that took place in Mumbai a few days ago. This event was created to break the myths that women cannot drive or read maps.

32 girls in teams of four participated. The event set to test the driving and navigation skills of women was flagged off by Female Car Icon Renuka Kirplani.

Women, the firm says, are always perceived to be bad drivers, lousy navigators and gossip queens. They live in a world of subconscious contradiction, allowing their emotions to flow and gallivant for small unhealthy thoughts like a 'bad body structure'.

"This activity was an interesting and a rewarding activity to engage with the target audience to bring the brand alive on ground. The remarkable success and continuous growth of the online networking community, www.sunsilkgangofgirls.com once again brought the site on-ground, this time with a whole new perspective on women and driving.

The flag off started in the presence of MTV VJ Nikhil Chinnappa's along with Renuka Kirplani. All eight gangs were supposed to move to five pit stops where they had to perform various activities which further tested their driving and other skills. At each one of the pit stops the gangs got the clue about their next stop and they had to navigate their way through to that using the road map given to them.

Out of the eight participating gangs with names like Moll-Esters, Troublesome Girls, Eddie, Four on the fourth and more, there were two winner gangs who managed to reach the final destination in time, completing all the tasks assigned to them on their way. DJ Pearl, a pioneering female DJ in another male dominated sector, announced the winner gang names. Fearsome Four and Quad won a trip to Goa, sponsored entirely by Sunsilk Gang of Girls.

Sunsilk Gang of Girls recently brought the website on ground in Delhi. Sunsilk Hair Bars was a live representation of the website and an idea for a girl to spend her weekend, where she would just want to be herself.
