Red FM Drive garners response of 380 women; contends for Limca Book of Records title

MUMBAI: Red FM 93.5, in association with Garnier Fructis, flagged off the 'Biggest Women's Car Rally' in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness today, which garnered a response of 380 women (drivers + navigators) participants. They will be required to drive from Mumbai to Pune and back and this would be monitored by the Limca Book of Records for the title of the Biggest Intercity All Women's Car Rally in India.

The event also gained celebrity support from as Shweta Salve, Malvika Sanhgvi, Valsha Nair, Rajeshri Thakur, Deveika Bhojwan, Ram Kapur and Chunky Pandey. They were joined by Ashmit Patel and Narendra Jha of 'Ravan' fame, as celebrity jockeys for the event. informs an official release.

"Commenting on the over-whelming response received by the rally, Red FM COO Abraham Thomas said, "We are very happy with the response we have received for the Red FM Drive 93.5 that aims to celebrate the spirit and attitude of today's women. We have received a courageous response even from the celebrity circle of Mumbai that has come forward to support the novel cause of spreading Breast Cancer Awareness in the country."

Tata Memorial Hospital VP - Women's Cancer Initiativ Deveika Bhojwani said, "I would like to thank each participant to come forward and lend her support to spread the word."

The rally has been conceptualised by the company's new activation cell Red Activ, which implements customized integrated media solutions for clients, to help them interact with consumers and reach different touch points.

The event will conclude with a party on the 17 December, to announce the final winners and felicitate all the participants. The event will see performances by Infrared and others, along with lots of fun planned out by our very talented RJs.
