O&M Asia Pacific sweeps Media 2006 Agency Awards

MUMBAI: Ogilvy and Mather Asia Pacific dominated the
agency honours in the Media’s 2006 Agency of the Year Awards. It won Network of the Year, supported by its concurrent wins as Creative Agency of the Year (Ogilvy and Mather) and as One-to-One Agency of the Year (OgilvyOne).

Ogilvy and Mather Asia Pacific chairman Miles Young said, "2006 was a year for renewed leadership when we put not only the issue of effectiveness on the industry agenda but also Asia on the map as a source of world class creativity. Our success is underpinned by recognising that in the region’s largest agency, small must still be beautiful – and we can combine size with freshness, radicalism and a complete commitment to ideas."

This year the agency has also set up Neo@Ogilvy, a digital media planning and buying business.

Ogilvy and Mather Beijing also won Office of the Year while Ogilvy and Mather Beijing chairman/CEO Shenan Chuang and Ogilvy vice-chairman China was named Agency Head of the Year.

All in all, of the six Agency/Agency head awards, Ogilvy took top honours in four of the categories. Motorola also won Client Brand of the Year and Client Marketer of the Year.
