OMS wins Yatra.com media business

MUMBAI: OMS (Optimum Media Solutions), the specialist media independent belonging to the Mudra Group, has been appointed the media agency for travel portal Yatra.com.

The other agencies vying for the account were both from the Group M stable, Maxus and Mindshare.

The scope of the business will include media planning, buying and implementation, states an official release.

Commenting on why OMS was chosen to be Yatra's media agency, Yatra.com founder Dhruv Shringi said, "OMS's prior experience of having helped start up companies scale at a rapid pace coupled with the business acumen exhibited by the OMS team were the key reasons for us deciding on OMS."

Some of the features on Yatra.com include best deal search options, travel guide information on various cities and flight bookings up to three hours prior to departure. As well as consumer-friendly features like 'pay while you stay' direct hotel payment options, flexible hotel comparison capability, free ticket delivery and price-cum-time based search filters for flight options.

Yatra joins the roster of a number of clients handled by OMS, including Reliance ADAG, Paras, HBO, ICI Paints, Spice Telecom, Electrotherm, LIC, Panasonic, SBI, HPCL, Air India, Zenith Computers, MTDC, Amway, Ravissant, Grasim, TTK, Sify, Jyothi Laboratories, RmKV Silks, Amrutanjan, Nickelodeon, ACC Cements, Paragon, Olympus and Ajanta/Orpat Group.
