Nike Inc senior developer Chris Cook said, "Nike's commitment
to provide innovative performance enhancing products for its athletes
and the game of cricket has ensured that these shoes have been designed
and introduced after a high degree of research spanning different
cricket playing countries. Our research spanned many keys areas
such as comfort, cushioning, flexibility, traction, stability and
shoe weight."
According to Cook, biomechanical studies on bowling and batting
action, conducted at Nike's research facility (Nike Sports Research
Lab) in Beaverton, have also been incorporated in the design of
the shoe. The wear testing process was also conducted in different
cricket playing countries where cricket players at different levels
(state, national and international) provided feedback and confirmed
the superiority of design over an 18 month period.
