BBH chairman John Hegarty to speak at Mipcom 2006

MUMBAI: The Mipcom 2006 "Reshaping Media" conference programme has announced that BBH chairman and worldwide creative director John Hegarty will speak at a special session consisting of a 'superpanel' which will examine the new rules of engagement for entertainment content and distribution. Representing one of the world's most awarded advertising agencies, Hegarty will share his expertise in the field of advertising with Mipcom delegates.

The panel entitled, "Do you Know Where your Audience is? Who's Writing the New Rules of Engagement for Entertainment and Distribution," is scheduled to take place on 9 October at Mipcom's 22nd edition in Cannes and the complete list of speakers will be announced shortly.

In addition to Hegarty the panel will welcome a group of visionary entertainment industry leaders and will focus on the increasing importance of knowing one's audience in the new on-demand age, and creating appropriate content for them, informs an official release.

The Mipcom 2006 conference programme will once again focus on essential issues and elements for the entertainment industry and focus on a key theme each day: programming and advertising; digital distribution - TV and film; mobile TV and user-generated content.

This year's programme boasts the highest-ever ranking list of speakers of any MIP including: George Bodenheimer, ESPN Inc. president, and ABC Sports; co-chairman, Disney Media Networks; Beth Comstock, president, Digital Media and Market Development, NBC Universal; Harry Sloan, chairman and CEO, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc.; Anne Sweeney, co-chair, Disney Media Networks and president, Disney-ABC Television Group and Todd Wagner, founder and CEO of 2929 Entertainment.
