Dentsu Bangalore bags Amrutanjan creative biz

MUMBAI: Following a multi-agency pitch, Dentsu Communications, Bangalore, has bagged the creative duties of Chennai based Amrutanjan Limited.

The other agencies participating in the pitch included JWT, O&M, McCann, R K Swamy BBDO, Contract, Maa Bozell, Interface, Mudra, G3 (the second agency of Grey), Publicis, Crystal and Rubecon.


As per the agreement, Dentsu will work on all existing brands as well as new brands of Amrutanjan. Established in 1893, Amrutanjan is in the business of pain cure balms, sprays and creams as well as a range of products that address the cold and cough segments, besides a range of skincare products.


Amrutanjan Limited general manager - sales and marketing Khushrav Kabraji said, "It was a very close contest between the final four agencies, but what swung things in Dentsu's favour is the fact that the brand benefit as given in the brief was well integrated into a good creative idea which was also well dramatised."


Welcoming Amrutanjan on board, Dentsu Communications executive director Ruchira Raina said, "Winning Amrutanjan gives us a lot of happiness. It is an iconic brand with generations of loyal consumers. At Dentsu we will work towards growing the brand franchise of Amrutanjan and successful launches of new products."

Dentsu Communications, Bangalore handles advertising for all brands of Toyota. It also looks after communication for Raymonds' new kidswear brand Zapp!, Biocon, Blaupunkt, Nissin Foods, Nitesh Estates, Innovative Multiplex and Innovative Film City. The agency's Delhi office handles Yamaha, I-mate, Radico Khaitan and BPTP among others.
