MUMBAI: Cleartrip has announced the launch of Small World, a comprehensive set of travel guides for Indian and International destinations, in fulfilling its mission of Making Travel Simple.

In addition, for all International content, Cleartrip has partnered with Lonely Planet for licensing its digital content. Lonely Planet is a widely recognised travel content brand. Content for all Indian destinations has been created by Cleartrip's travel writers over the last six months, informs an official release.

In keeping with Cleartrip's trademark of simplicity, Small World is designed to be user friendly as destinations can be searched by name or by browsing through a directory of continents.

Detailed guides are available at the country and city level, which provide travellers with a wealth of information about the destination - sightseeing, night life, restaurant and hotel listings as well as photo galleries, maps, currency and weather information. Maps are available from Lonely Planet and Google, giving users access to detailed street level maps, adds the release.

Speaking about Small World, Cleartrip founder and director ecommerce Hrush Bhatt, said, "Planning is an integral part of travel and Small World is our way of simplifying travel planning, of making the world a smaller place. Small World gives our customers easy access to thousands of pages of high quality travel content, which they can use to plan their travel. We're extremely excited about Small World and our partnership with Lonely Planet.

"Small World is global in its scope, even though we currently sell only flights and hotels within India, Cleartrip is here to make things easy for people who want to travel. We saw that there was a lack of easy-to-find destination content, so we built Small World."

The content on Small World will be refreshed weekly to keep it up-to-date and accurate. Meanwhile, Cleartrip also plans on adding many more destinations over the coming months.
