Kingfisher, Hero Honda bring Bavarian Oktoberfest to Bangalore

BANGALORE: 'The Great Indian Octoberfest - 2005' will be held in the city from 28 October to 30 October. Kingfisher sponsors the event in association with Hero Honda.

 
 

The Oktoberfest in Germany is one of the most awaited events for beer enthusiasts the world over drawing over 7 million visitors over a period of 11 days. Kingfisher has intentions to make Oktoberfest an annual event in India. The event management firm Common Colors is handling the property.

 
 

About 20,000 footfalls are expected over three day event happening across a six acre plot. This is reportedly the first carnival with an international ambience and non stop entertainment where one could experience and flavor pure beer and learn about its history while listening to live music from India's top bands such as Moksha, Galeej Gurus, Ministry of Blues and Thermal and A Quarter, states an official release.

 
 

A DJ section featuring top DJ's such as DJ Chico, DJ Ivan & DJ Whosane' and Flea Market with exotic wares drawn from different parts of the country, face painting and tattoos by professionals, a Gaming section with games to test the mind, physical ability and presence of mind are on the anvil. Entrance is a steep Rs.350 per person per day.
