| Srinivas, whose elevation into his new
role reportedly happened Wednesday, takes over a position previously
handled by Alice Lam, head of Maxus Hong Kong.
Queried by indiantelevision.com over whether his new responsibilities
would entail his moving out of India, Srinivas, speaking to indiantelevision
from Bangkok, clarified that he would continue to based out of New
Delhi. "My mandate is to ramp up Maxus across the rest of the
region to the position that it currently enjoys in India, Hong Kong
and to an extent China - among the Top 3. In the other regional
offices we occupy the fourth or fifth rung on an average and the
effort will clearly be to improve on that."
