Ramms India's makes some key acquisitions in the 1st Q

MUMBAI/BANGALORE: MAA Group's retail solution arm Ramms, India's leading retail solutions company, has bagged a list of clients in the first quarter April-July of the financial year 2005-2006. The list includes retail heavyweights like VIP Luggage, Parryware, Adishwars India, Rach Exports, Archies Cards, D' Mart supermarket and CISCO.
 
 

"Retail solutions are making huge inroads into our clients' marketing spend - they plan to spend Rs.100 million in current financial year, "
says Ramms India president R Kannan. Kanan adds, "We at Ramms have our agenda for each of these clients well planned-out."

Archies India has a chain of over 1000 retail stores across the nation. As a retail agency, Ramms will offer services that include national signage solutions and store visual merchandising.

Ramms will offer VIP its expertise in store concept development, store planning, retail fixturing, store visual merchandising for the national chain of 'experience store' across the country. The VIP brands include VIP luggage, Delsey and Footloose. For VIP luggage, Ramms will design a chain of 'VIP Travel Stores' to cater to the growing market for travel-related luggage and accessories in India.

As a retail agency to Parryware - the sanitary and toiletware major, RAMMS will offer services like store design, project management consultancy, shop in shop concepts, visual merchandising and point of purchase deployment among the host of services.

 
 

Commenting on the Parryware acquisition, Ramms Chennai regional head Jay Kumar says, "For this category it has become extremely critical to be visible and be on top of the mind. This is the first time a brand visibility programme is being conducted in this category on a national level. And only Ramms has the experience, understanding and the bandwidth to undertake such a large scale programme."

Adishwars Electro World, a chain of consumer durables showrooms in Bangalore, is planning to expand its operations across Karnataka with a chain of new format consumer durables super stores. Ramms will undertake store concept creation, store planning, project management consultancy, store visual merchandising, and store window concepts for this chain.

 
 

D'Mart, the chain supermarket in Mumbai, is on an expansion mode; and Ramms will aid them in mapping their processes and policies to create a standard store operations manual.

For the IT major CISCO, Ramms will develop retail brand identity for their wireless range of products. They plan to roll out this identity in 60 stores- IT and consumer electronics - in the current year.

Ramms recently became the first and only company from India to join the Ebeltoft Group, the international consortium of retail consultants. Kannan concluded, "Ramms is considered a pioneer when it comes to development of retail identity, we are associated with some of leading brands in India such as HP, Frito Lay, ICI Paints and many others."
