MUMBAI: Yash Raj Films and MTV are at it again! The duo are back together in an exclusive tie-up after the success of Hum Tum. The latest is that the production house has tied up exclusively with the music channel in a unique programme called MTV Celebrates Yash Raj, which will feature songs, snippets and exciting footage from the entire bouquet of Yash Chopra Films.

On 21 September, via the MTV Celebrates Yash Raj, MTV will be literally hijacked by Yash Raj Films as the entire programming on the channel will only revolve around songs and scenes from the Yash Raj film bouquet from 6 am to midnight. This tie up will also mark the launch of Yash Raj Films' music company - Yash Raj Music - whose debut will be the new film from Yash Chopra - Veer Zara, starring Shahrukh Khan, Rani Mukherjee and Preity Zinta.

Some rare unseen footage from the Yash Chopra’s movies will also be aired. Also, with the new film from the Yash Raj kitty - Veer Zara, slated for a Diwali release, MTV will give its viewers a unique opportunity to catch exclusive clips from the film.

From Waqt to the latest hit Dhoom; Yash Raj Films over the past 40 years have given Indian audiences some of the biggest and most path-breaking gems such as Kabhi Kabhie, Daag, Deewaar, Silsila, Chandni, Lamhe, Darr, Mohabbatein, Dil To Pagal Hai, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, among many others.

Yash Raj Films has, in the past, been associated with some innovative promotions with MTV for their romantic comedy Hum Tum; right from the animated MTV channel ID’s, to co-producing a music video with hip-hop bhangra craze, Rishi Rich for the title track of Hum Tum. MTV had also associated their successful adventure based reality show, MTV Hero Honda Roadies with the recent hit, Dhoom, where Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Uday Chopra egged on contestants at the auditions to become true Roadies.
