founded members shared their perspective. Baazee.com MD Avnish Bajaj
said, "We are delighted to be a part of IOA - an association
that is going to be on the forefront of helping grow the Internet
and Internet-based commerce and advertising."
Bharti Televentures VP new products development and alliances Mohit
Bhatnagar said, "There will soon be more mobile phones than
PCs in India. Airtel is pleased to be a part of IOA to drive the
rapid adoption of the wireless Internet."
mOne (Group M) business director Tushar Vyas said, "We are
glad to join in this effort to bring together the industry within
a single forum. This was much needed initiative to shape future
of online advertising, mobile marketing and content business. We
also look forward to participate in IOA initiatives in areas of
understanding the audience profile and behaviour."

"It is our belief that the formation of a neutral industry
association such as the IOA reflects the maturing of the online

of India's leading media portal and web-enabled TV services company,
Indiantelevision.com, am happy to become a part of the IOA. There
are many issues the Internet and online industry, which is growing
at a rapid clip, is grappling with. I believe that initiatives such
as the IOA can only work in the right direction, that is, towards
resolution of the problems, and making life simpler for all those
involved. Also, I believe the association will not only serve as
a representative for large mass-targeted Internet and Online firms
but will also look after the interests of smaller niche players
too."
