Sony, [V] China team for anti-piracy concert

MUMBAI: Star's music channel Channel [V] has announced that consumer electronics major Sony will be the title sponsor of The Anti-Piracy Concert in China for the second consecutive year. .
 
 
As title sponsor, Sony will enjoy brand exposure across the integrated marketing platform of Channel [V] in lead-in programmes, on-air promos, concert broadcasts on both Channel [V] and more than 18 TV stations across China.
 
 

The Sony sponsorship also entails benefits in radio broadcast, print media, SMS, website and on-ground activities such as pre-concert roadshows and press conferences.

To be staged at the Shanghai Stadium on 6 November the concert will feature a number of pop artists from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, including Jerry Yen, Andy Hui, Miriam Yeung, Edison Chan, William So, Life is Beautiful, Need and Wang Rong..

 
 

Co-organised with the Shanghai Asian Music Festival and Shanghai Media Group, the concert will mark the finale of the 7th Shanghai Asian Music Festival. The festival is an annual event designed to push forward original pop music in Asia and discover new talent, while advocating the protection of intellectual property rights.

Attended by more than 80,000 people, The Sony Anti-Piracy Concert last year was watched by more than 2.4 million viewers in Shanghai.
