AIMA
also adopted a new and contemporary logo which was launched in August.
Another major initiative taken by COB last year was to spread the
national management movement to the young minds of the country.
AIMA launched its Shaping Young Minds programme which gave a platform
to the young managers and management students to interact with icons
like Azim Premji, Suresh Prabhu, Piyush Pandey, Narayan Karthikeyan,
Kiran Majumdar, Prabhu Chawla, Arun Nanda, Prasoon Joshi, Adi Godrej
, B Muthuraman etc and learn from their experiences. The programme
was successfully conducted in four locations viz Mumbai, Hyderabad,
Kolkata and Indore.
With a strong presence in management development, management testing
and distance management education AIMA today has its network spread
all over the country through its LMAs and more than 40 Nodal Centres
which are nodal points where management education is imparted to
about 3000 management students.
AIMA has close collaborations with Management Associations in many
Asian Countries which fall under the umbrella of Asian Association
of Management Organisations (AAMO). AIMA has recently taken over
the Presidency of AAMO for three years with Tata Sons director Dr
J J Irani as the president.
