The multi-agency pitch involved some of the countrys leading
advertising agencies, where the final round of pitches included
the likes of O&M and Lowe.
Speaking on the winning pitch, Rediffusion DYR president Preet
Bedi said, "We are very happy to have won this challenging
assignment, especially since it continues Rediffusions winning
streak of significant brands like Indian Oil and Onida. The DTH
category is still at a nascent stage, and as such we will have to
define the category and set the standards. I believe that Rediffusions
best work has happened on launching new categories and brands AirTel
and ING Vysya. Space TV, likewise, is a similar pioneer in its category
and at this stage there are no limits, no boundaries fertile
conditions for great communication."
