The survey, conducted by Brandchannel.com, ranked the brands that
had the most impact on its readers in 2003. The results feature
all industries in the region, and Star came out as the top brand
in the media and television industries.
"We are pleased with the results. The ranking reaffirms that
Star is the most impactful media vehicle for advertisers to reach
their consumers," said Star executive VP (ad sales) Toby Hayward.
A total of 4,010 people from 85 countries voted in the 2003 Readers
Choice Brand of the Year survey, which was conducted online from
November through December 2003. Readers were asked to choose up
to five brands per region that had the most impact on them in 2003.
Brandchannel.com which was launched in 2001 by Interbrand, is the
worlds only online exchange about branding.
