Nimbus to market in stadia rights for Indo-Pak series

MUMBAI: More players are coming aboard the Indo-Pak cricket tour gravy train. Nimbus Sport (a division of Nimbus Communications Ltd) announced today it will exclusively market all the unrestricted quota of in stadia advertising (40 per cent of in stadia advertising is reserved for Pakistan companies), of the forthcoming series.
 
 

Nimbus has entered into a contract with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for in stadia advertising rights and also entered into an agreement for the exclusive co-sponsor rights. Hero Honda is the co-sponsor, thereby extending its long and consistent association with cricket. Hero Honda was also the official sponsor of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2003.

According to an official release, the total value of the in stadia rights Nimbus has won is in the region of $ 3 million.

PCB and Nimbus are also in talks for ancillary rights and a decision regarding this would be reached in the next two days, the statement says.

Sunil Manocha, senior V-P, Nimbus said: "We are pleased to continue our association with international cricket and forge a new relationship with the PCB. The India Pakistan series attracts interest comparable with the World Cup and is a fantastic investment for our clients."

Nimbus Sport is making available a maximum of seven in stadia advertising packages, some of which will be category exclusive.
