MUMBAI: Madison Media has completed the process of a minor restructuring
even as mid-level executives head for plum posts in rival media
agencies.
Three mid-level executives - Patrick Gomes, Salil Sawant and L
Karthik - have left Madison Media's Mumbai office. However, Madison
has appointed Savithri Swaminathan to head the Godrej AoR and Rajiv
Gopinath to look after the Asian Paints AOR.
An MBA from IIM Bangalore, Swaminathan, who used to head ICICI
Bank AoR, will be joining Madison as media director. She has worked
with media independents Starcom and MindShare; and has also spent
time in research during her stint at ORG Marg.
Rajiv Gopinath moves to Madison as media director after a six-year
stint with MindShare Fulcrum. Gopinath is an MBA from IIM Lucknow.
Patrick Gomes, who had joined Madison Media as a media supervisor
three years back, is joining Y&R's The Mediaedge (TME). Gomes
has definitely moved up the corporate ladder as he will be designated
as associate media director in TME. Gomes will be working on the
Tata group AOR account that TME has bagged. Gomes started his career
with Carat as an assistant research executive. During his stint
in Madison, Gomes worked on the Godrej group and on the Red Bull
account.
L Karthik, who was designated as the group head for the Godrej
group account, will be heading to Bangalore. Karthik will be joining
Lowe group's Initiative Media (IM) and will be heading the Bangalore
branch. Karthik has been with Madison Media for the last three and
a half years.
Salil Sawant will be joining IM Bangalore as media manager. Sawant
belonged to Karthik's team.
