| This new watch-line from
Tissot is being pitched as a resolutely modern gentlemans watch
and targets all those discerning consumers looking for something truly
classic.
Swatch Group India country manager G Kannan was quoted in a medianet
release as saying: The TXL Moon Phase and Round Alarm are
a perfect compromise for the man looking for a timepiece that plays
therefore upon ancient beliefs and traditional complications - but
in a modern way.
Tissot claims to have continued to produce a collection of moon
phase timepieces since the companys creation in 1853, both
for its pocket watch and later its wristwatch models.
The latest of these lines is the TXL Round Moon Phase; extending
the TXL line by converting the elegant square case into an equally
appealing rounded version. An additional unusual element in the
watch is the round moon phase window, on which the day and month
are indicated by two symmetrical windows either side of the central
point, with the date itself appearing along the circumference of
the dial, indicated by a small round moon.
Priced at Rs 11,300 and Rs 19,100, the TXL Moon Phase claims to
be a truly elegant watch with its Arabic numbers; its masculine
chic highlighted by the play of brushed and polished steel. It is
has an oval casing and is available with a silver or black dial.
For those seeking classicism with a twist, the line also includes
the new TXL Round Alarm, combining practicality with elegance. The
new TXL Round line also offers a three-hand model with the added
plus of an alarm function, an unusual feature in this type of timepiece.
The two pushers for the alarm and crown are harmoniously placed
at 2H00 and 3H00 respectively and the time and alarm settings both
controlled by the crown. Priced at Rs 17,700, this model is available
with a dial in silver or midnight blue.
