MUMBAI: MTV has announced that it has extended the voting period for the 2003 MTV Asia awards to 15 January. The awards will take place on 24 January at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The event will be hosted by CoCo Lee and Shaggy.

One of the highlights of the show will be a performance by indipop star Shaan. The crowd will also groove to the tunes of Malaysia's Ella who released her first solo album in 1988. The list of presenters includes former Miss World Aishwarya Rai, David Tao, D2B.
