Sony announces the winner of 'CID' contest

MUMBAI: There was writer waiting to be untapped and Sony is all set to unveil the talent.

CID contest launched on 11 November has already zeroed on the winner. A 21 year old Reepal D Shah from Gujarat has won the contest and the channel will telecast the two episode story on 2 January and 9 January '04.

 
 

Announced to make its show 'CID' more interactive, the contest had invited viewers to pen a story. Although the winner was selected on 5 December, the channel kept it under wraps till the producers could shoot the story.

According to a channel spokesperson, "We received nearly 1000 entries. Selection wasn't easy since there were quite a few interesting and chilling stories."

While co-producer Pradeep Uppur refused to let out the story, he did offer that the story was shot in Mumbai.

According to Uppur, channel's creative officials and B P Singh along with him shortlisted the entries. Then the shortlisted few stories were scrutinised by jury members.
