MUMBAI: Seems like Zee News won't leave any stone unturned to prove its supremacy over competitors.

As a part of its aggressive marketing strategy, the news channel has installed live tickers at as many as six main road crossings in Delhi.

The tickers continuously flashing the day's 'breaking news,' have been set up right under several traffic signal boxes at strategic locations, accompanied with the Zee News logo 'Haqeeqat Jaise Khabhar Waise' on top.

Zee News has acquired customised software to install the ticker and has been running news on it, in association with the Delhi Police, Zee Telefilm director (News Group) L N Goel explains.

The tickers have been installed only 10 days ago and mostly in South Delhi areas to start with, Goel specified.

Zee News' news room in Noida sends out signals to these highway tickers - news flashed on it are the same as those flashed in the channel. Goel says the company has spent "several crores" for installation of the tickers.

Goel promises that the highway ticker will soon be a trend in Mumbai and Kolkata as well. He says, "We have started this marketing initiative in Delhi right now but will take it to Mumbai and Kolkata, very soon." The initiatives will be backed by the Mumbai and Kolkata police.
