MUMBAI: Godrej has announced that its two tea brands, Godrej Noble House and Godrej Chai House are making aggressive steps in the value added packaging segment of the tea industry. This is being done through their new unbreakable 'airtight containers'.

An official release informs that the packaging helps retain the aroma and freshness of tea for a longer period. Unlike ordinary packaging, which is thrown away after use – these new environmentally friendly containers give consumers an opportunity to create an interesting and colourful collection of 'airtight containers' for their kitchen.

Godrej Noble House is a luxury blend of Assam and Darjeeling teas. The aim is to give connoisseurs a delicious and perfect balance of flavour and aroma. Godrej Chai House is a special “secret” blend. The brands aim is to give consumers a strong full-bodied “Kadva Nahin, Kadak” taste. It positions itself as the perfect strong cup of tea without the bitter taste that is associated with strong tea.

Godrej Tea is a part of the Rs 45 billion Godrej group. It launched three brands of tea in the Indian market in January 2003.
