A press release says that Moolchandani, 37, has been with Allied
Domecq for over four years. Prior to his appointment as MD, he was
vice president - sales at ADSWI and played an important role in
maintaining leadership position in the Scotch segment with its flagship
brand Teacher's Scotch Whisky, Apart from heading the sales operations
of ADSWI, Moolchandani has also been V-P, finance for the company.
His previous employment track record includes stints with MNC's
like Becton Dickinson India and Whirlpool of India in a variety
of finance positions.
Describing his new assignment at ADSWI as both "exciting as
well as challenging," Moolchandani has been quoted as saying:
"It has been a delightful experience working ADSWI and the
challenge now is to sustain the lead position that we enjoy in the
scotch segment and take the Teacher's brand to the next level of
growth."
Outgoing CEO Srikant Illuri said: "Harish and I, along with
the rest of the ADSWI team have worked well together to take Allied
Domecq to the position it enjoys today. I am delighted that Harish
will succeed me and wish him and the team all success in continuing
to make it happen the Teacher's way!"
