MUMBAI: MAX's cricket promotion with Kapil Dev, Gully Cricket, will kick off its second round beginning 16 November as a run up to the ICC Cricket World Cup South Africa 2003.

Gully Cricket will be held across eight cities from November 2002 to January 2003, to begin with Kolkata. Fans across these cities will get an opportunity to bowl Kapil Dev out in the streets and gullies of their towns and cities and receive cricketing tips and interesting Max merchandise from Kapil.

Executive VP and Business Head, MAX Rajat Jain says the first round of Gully Cricket was a tremendous success for MAX when it was held in August and September, prior to the ICC Champions Trophy. "Thousands of fans turned up at the various locations in the five cities where it was held. The promotion was a huge success and conveyed the message that the world's best cricketing action was to take place on Max with the ICC cricket tournaments," he says.

Gully Cricket will travel to three to four locations in each city.
