Star reaches school kids 'Shaka Laka Boom Boom' style

MUMBAI: Star Plus has organised a series of activities relating to kids show Shaka Laka Boom Boom that airs weekdays at 7:30 pm.

Among the activities organised are the Shaka Laka Boom Boom magic show in several schools across metros. The Make a Wish drawing contest saw over 60,000 contest forms distributed in 65 schools in Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad. Each school had 20 winners (Hot Wheels cars) wherein one winner from each school won a bicycle. In course of the activities, about 50,000 branded pencils were distributed among students, says a Star press release.

The series of activities also had a social cause attached. Shaka Laka Boom Boom tied up with Child Relief and You (CRY), an association catering to school children, also to be a part of this activity an amount of Rs. 25000/- was donated to CRY.

Shaka Laka Boom Boom is the story of young Sanju and his magic pencil, with which he can draw anything and 'woh sach ho jata hai'.
